How to setup vultr vps 2019

Vultr VPS is currently a lot of people choose to do Webserver, or remote, render because of good quality, stability with quite cheap prices, often with promotions. Myself also using Vultr as a Webserver for the VPS Learning blog.

If you want to use Vultr to remote, please refer to the tutorial of installing Windows 7 on Vultr that I posted earlier. It should be noted that Windows use must have a license, activate directly or the server will often lose its network to restart.

Steps to create VPS at Vultr
1. First you need to register for a Vultr account, then log in.
2. In the management page, click the button Deploy New Instance to create a new VPS.
3. The VPS creation interface will include the following:
a. Choose Server Location
First, choose the corresponding server type, including:
Compute Instance (default): optimize operation, use SSD, genuine CPU, full location, should be used if used to run the web.
Storage Instance: recommended to be used as a storage server due to its large capacity, use of SATA drives, limited number of locations.
Dedicated Instance: recommended for large systems, need a lot of resources.
b. Server Type - Select the operating system for the server
In Part 2, we will choose the operating system that will be installed on the server, can choose Linux or Windows. If you want to install HocVPS Script, you should use 64bit version, CentOS 6 x64. If you want to install Windows, you can always choose Windows 2012 R2 x64 here, or manually install as your guide.

You are allowed to reinstall the operating system comfortably after Deploy.

Application tab is a collection of applications that support automatic installation such as LEMP, WordPress, Minecraft, ownCloud, OpenVPN, Drupal ...

The Backup or Snapshot tab allows you to create a server from previous auto backups, or from a Snapshot you created.

Custom ISO tab is used to install a separate operating system using your ISO file, I usually use to install Windows.

c. Choose Package - Choose VPS configuration

Depending on the purpose of use, please choose the corresponding server configuration.

After deploying, you are upgraded to a higher configuration but still retain the data, but cannot be downgraded.
d. Additional Features - Other features
Some other functions such as activating IPv6, Private Network, Auto Backup, Startup Script, SSH Key ... you can leave the default.

Finally, click Deploy Now button to proceed to create VPS. The creation process will take about 1-2 minutes, after which you will receive an email of success notice from Vultr with IP information, server configuration. The root password you need to get in the Server Information management page, the Password (click on the eye icon).
